From Wired Next Fest to a scalable event ecosystem

Wired Next Fest - one of Condé Nast’s largest and most complex live events - became the starting point for rethinking how editorial events could be experienced online.

The challenge extended far beyond designing a single event website. It required creating a flexible system capable of supporting every stage of the event journey, from content discovery and speaker exploration to registration, live streaming, and post-event engagement.

What began with Wired Next Fest evolved into a shared platform adopted across multiple Condé Nast brands, enabling teams to launch scalable event experiences while maintaining each event’s unique identity.

Flexible system and configurable modules

Wired Next Fest became the foundation for designing a scalable event platform that could be adapted across different Condé Nast brands and event formats. Rather than creating a one-off website, we developed a flexible system of reusable templates and configurable modules, enabling teams to launch tailored experiences while maintaining a consistent user experience.

The platform supported the entire event ecosystem, including content discovery, speaker profiles, schedules, livestreams, partner areas, editorial content, registration, and ticketing.

Wired Next Fest — mobile experience

Mobile-first event journey

The experience was designed mobile-first, reflecting the way audiences discover, plan, and engage with events today. Every touchpoint was optimized to support the complete event lifecycle, ensuring quick access to information and seamless navigation across devices.

Live event companion

To enhance participation beyond the website, we created a dedicated companion app designed for use during live events. The experience gave attendees instant access to schedules, speakers, and session information, while supporting features such as real-time translation, helping users follow talks regardless of language barriers.

A shared events platform

The Wired Next Fest platform was designed as a scalable foundation for Condé Nast Italia’s event ecosystem—not a one-off site, but a reusable product that could be configured for different brands, formats, and editorial needs

The same architecture, components, and UX patterns have since powered many other Condé Nast events in Italy, allowing teams to launch faster while keeping a consistent experience across initiatives

Beyond the Website

The platform extended into a broader promotional ecosystem including email campaigns, social media assets, display advertising and branded content.

Every touchpoint was designed to maintain a consistent event identity while supporting audience acquisition and engagement.

Social promotion

Instagram Stories were part of the festival’s promotion strategy, with vertical formats tailored to each phase of the event—from the build-up to live coverage and post-event messaging.

Three story sequences (pre, during, and post) extended the narrative on social, keeping the audience engaged across the full event lifecycle.
